Here’s how to fix Windows 10 stuck on ‘Diagnosing your PC’  error

  • Boot in Safe Mode and Clear Space
  1. You need to turn on the system.
  2. Begin clicking on the F8 key.
  3. It will launch the Advanced Boot Options list.
  4. Once you have used the Advanced Boot Options list, start using the arrow key to choose the Safe Mode.
  5. Otherwise, click on the corresponding key.
  6. Wait till the booting process gets completed.
  7. After loading the Windows completely, click on the Windows and R keys together.
  8. It will launch the Run prompt box.
  9. After going in the Run prompt box, enter “cleanmgr” in the provided box.
  10. Click on “cleanmgr” in the given box.
  11. Click on the Enter option.
  12. It will launch the Clean Manager option.
  13. After going in the Disk Cleanup display, you need to choose the disk which you wish to remove.
  14. If you wish to remove the OS drive, then you need to choose the C drive.
  15. After going in the Disk Cleanup display, press on the Files to Delete column.
  16. Choose the things which are not important and you want to remove.
  17. After choosing each thing which you wish to remove, press on the Clean up system files option to begin the procedure of removing everything.
  18. Once you have finished the procedure, you need to start the system again.
  19. Now, you need to check whether this issue is fixed or not.
  • Run the SFC and DISM scans
  1. Start the system again.
  2. Before getting the startup sequence, begin clicking on the key for booting the Windows installation media.
  3. After loading the Windows display, press on the Repair your computer option.
  4. It is located at the end of the left-hand side of the display.
  5. You need to choose the Troubleshooting option.
  6. Press on the Advanced button.
  7. By going to the Advanced button, choose the Command Prompt option.
  8. After going in the Command Prompt menu, enter the below-mentioned command:

  10. Once you have finished the scanning process, start the system again.
  11. After going back to the option, enter the below-mentioned commands:

Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /CheckHealth

Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /ScanHealth

Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth

  1. Click on the Enter button.
  2. After finishing the process, start the system.
  3. You need to check if the error is fixed or not.
  • Run the System Restore utility
  1. Place the installation media.
  2. Start the system again.
  3. After getting the booting display, click on one of the keys by going to the installation media.
  4. After loading the Windows setup, find it into the end left-hand corner of the screen.
  5. Press on the Repair your computer option.
  6. By going to the repair list, start accessing the Troubleshoot option.
  7. In the Troubleshoot option, press on the Advanced Options button.
  8. After that, choose the Command Prompt menu.
  9. It is located on the menu list of the utilities which are currently available on the menu list.
  10. In the Command Prompt menu, enter the below-mentioned command:

rstrui.exe

  1. Click on the Enter button.
  2. It will launch the System Restore menu.
  3. After opening the System Restore menu, you need to press on the Next button.
  4. Go through the checkbox registered with the Show more restore points option.
  5. Press on the Next button.
  6. You need to wait until the booting procedure gets completed on the system.
