A few weeks ago Monster Hunter World: Iceborne Beta was released on PlayStation 4. Now, the developer has rolled out a new trailer for the game’s forthcoming Iceborne expansion. The new trailer reveals a few brand-new monster variants that will be hunted by game players. It also shows the refurbished and revamped Gathering Hub wherein players will pass their time between two quests.
The older trailer of Monster Hunter World: Iceborne teased a returning favorite. The story trailer, shared in the first week of June, gave viewers a glimpse of older monsters. The trailer ended with the roar of Glavenus, teasing that the Brute Wyvern shall be returning to the game. The Iceborne expansion shall also be introducing a couple of brand-new subspecies monsters. According to the game developer, these monsters are extreme and twisted variations that need master-level hunting skills to defeat successfully. Two subspecies monsters are shown in the trailer.
One of these is Fulgur Anjanath that is capable of emitting electricity instead of lightning. Another one is the highly vicious Ebony Odogaron.
The game is set in Hoarfrost Reach in the Arctic. It comes with a brand new Gathering Hub which has been tweaked and improved, as compared to the one in the original game. Now, users will be able to access different facilities such as Smithy, Resource Center, along with Argosy in a quicker manner because they are near. Game characters can also personalize their rooms using different kinds of furniture and other items. According to Capcom, an update will be released after the launch, and it will enable other game players to visit your character’s room.
This expansion shall have other improvements in the gameplay as well. Now, the difficulty shall get a scale for two player teams. Moreover, Palicos will be able to wield certain brand-new gadgets like Shieldspire Stooge and Meowcano. Shieldspire Stooge is a new gadget that allows your Palico to summon a decoy to draw the attention of the monster away from you. Meowcano is a gadget that is focused on damage. Another Palico gadget is Vigorswap. It enables you to revive players.
The new trailer also gives some pre-order goodies. Those who get the new game early shall be given the Yukumo layered armor set.
The expansion will be launching for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on 6th September this year. It will roll out to Windows PC this winter, but a release date has not been announced as of now.
